GABRIEL RODENBORN
Flutist | Composer | Educator
Gabriel Rodenborn is an internationally recognized, composer, flutist, and educator. He holds a master of music degree from California State University, Los Angeles in instrumental performance and a bachelor of arts degree from Humboldt State University in music. He has recently been contracted to perform with the Los Angeles Composers Collective as well as the CSULA Opera. He was also recently selected to participate in the SALT New Music Festival and Symposium with his piece A History of Wandering. His composition 10 Haikus About the Santa Ana Winds was recently selected to be featured in the CSULA Choral Composers Workshop. He has taken composition master classes with James Hopkins, Sara Graef, Veronika Krausas, John M. Kennedy, Alexander Radvilovich, and Anatoly Korolyov. He has taken flute performance master classes with Diane Alancraig. He has worked as a music educator for thirteen years. Most recently, he served as instructor of record for Modern Music at Fremont College as well as Classical Music in Western Culture, Music Theory, and Musicianship at CSULA.
